I have found the poetry slam work so far the most interesting.
My biggest challenge in English was in year 8 when we did the S&L assessment, I was really nervous but I got a high level and it was happy about my achievements!
My favourite English lesson so far has to be all of them because they are all good in different ways!
In the future, I would like to learn about more advanced writing techniques!

In my opinion the most interesting work was reading “The Silver Sword” and completing comprehension tasks afterwards.
The biggest challenge for me was making my poem make sense and making it enjoyable for the reader.
My favourite lesson was when we watched the poetry slam videos. My other favourite is reading lessons.
In the future I would like to learn about the advanced techniques required for a level7.

Well, I don’t know about you lot, but what I have enjoyed the most so far this year (agreeing with Chessie here) has got to be the Poetry slam, although we haven’t even started it yet but I am hugely anticipating it!

What has been your biggest challenge?
The speaking and listening assessment this year about Anne Frank for me was a little hard, referencing later, I admit, but the hardest thing has to have been the debate which was linked to Geography about whether or not the River Dart should be dammed. This assessment was really hard for me because I had to take the backseat in the debate and wait till the floor section of the debate was open so I could jam my foot in the door (that’s a figure of speech). I love debating and arguing when no one can back chat me. it makes me feel unstoppable, like a Goddess! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    Anyway…

    Favourite lesson and why?
My favourite lesson has to be when we did the speaking and listening assessment and we had to be Anne Frank or Bear Grylls. I really enjoy standing up and pretending to be someone else. Why do I like pretending? it just kinda gives me a break from our wold, I guess. I love it because it gives me a break from my sucky life, what I could be but would never happen. It sounds strange, but that’s the only way I can explain it. That’s just my life I guess.
What would you like to learn in the future?
In the future I would like to have some more speaking and listening assessments where we have to put ourselves in another characters shoes and maybe learn to perform monologues.

    I’m such a weird little kid 😉

The biggest challenge was the debate because I was nervous and I found It challenging and difficult.

I find the most interesting things about English lessons is the drama side, because it brings different things out about people that we don’t see in them in most lessons.

I would like to learn in the future is more about the acting side of poetry and what you can do with it.

The most interesting thing in English…. hmm … well I don’t really know there have been a lot of things we have done in English so its hard to chose from one of them, but i guess I will have to, so the most interesting thing we did in English was probably reading ‘The Silver Sword’ , it was really fun to read because of all the excitement in it.

My biggest challenge I had was probably my assessments that we had to do this year like the speaking and listening assessment, it was hard because you had to do research and had to have the right word to say or you looked like an idiot while you spoke.

Okay my favorite lesson to me was when we were watching some poetry slam videos to help us learn how much expression and emoting we should have when we read out are poems.

What I would like to learn more about is writing story’s because I really want to write some story’s in the future.
