PLE – 10yEN1 – Home learning due Thursday 27 February

We completed the short public speaking group of lessons today with presentations from teams representing all four houses. Your home learning follows on from this: how might the speeches (and the whole-group presentations) be made better for next time?

Your objective, critical (but not personal) comments are welcomed in the box below.

A reflective learner working at:

  • Grade D will describe their own role in the presentation including some comments on how well they did.
  • Grade C will identify strengths and weaknesses in others’ work.
  • Grade B will provide specific advice for future improvement, including verbal- and non-verbal techniques.
  • Grade A will make reference to specific rhetorical devices and explain how they improve an individual’s public speaking.
