Year 9En1 – The River God – A ‘Linguistic Caricature’

Due Wednesday 22.01.2014

Painting pictures with words: watch the Sky Audio Description advert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgSnrRjOG7Q ) and then draw a picture of the ‘River God’ or his ‘beautiful lady’, in the same style using key words or lines from the poem.
p.s. the first one who can tell me the meaning of a ‘Linguistic Caricature’ (I made it up somewhat!), gets 5 ticks toward their score.

I think a linguistic caricature is a piece written about a person in an over exaggerated or over simplified manner.
