Mr Legowski’s Yr 11s

Dear class,

This is the home learning that I’ll be setting at the end of tomorrow’s lesson. Please add your comments in the box below by Tuesday 26 November.

What are you going to do in preparation for the mock exam?
– What preparation have you already done?
– Do you have any useful advice, revision methods, resources or websites that would benefit your peers?

If everyone answers these questions thoughtfully, just think how mutually beneficial it’s going to be for all Year 11 students!

    – What are you going to do in preparation for the mock exam? In preparation for the mock exam, I will be thoroughly revising by looking through the novel and Merchant Of Venice, making key notes on the main events that take place and talk about each character making sure nothing is left unsaid.
    – What preparation have you already done? I have already been making key notes for each aspect, and making myself fully aware of what will come up in the exam, and have already been answering questions that are similar and contain aspects that will certainly appear.
    – Do you have any useful advice, revision methods, resources or websites that would benefit your peers? yes, I recommend attending extra English club, even if you don’t feel as though you need to, it really helps and put things into a different perspective so that you have help with question answering technique and what will help you to do well.

-in preparation for the mock exam, i have been revising all subjects carefully, paying particular attention to the merchant of venice, looking through all the main points of the play and how the characters are portrayd, for example, is shylock a character we should sympathise with?
    – I have already looked in depth into the play and characters as detailed above.
    – useful advice? buy some revision guides, make notes on them, and visit no fear shakespeare.
